10 Must Have Small Business Marketing Tools

Busy is the new black.

If you’re a small business owner and you’re too busy to find time to develop your sales and marketing systems stay tuned!

I’m going to list some of the main marketing tools I use to generate tons of marketing material for my fans in Brisbane.

Starting at the very beginning and taking you through the steps required until we hit that post button and beyond!

This is by no means and exhaustive list and there a plenty more out there. These are just some of my personal favorites. Please bear in mind that if you use too many apps you just get lost in a sea of content and may need rescuing later.

Content Curation and Content Creation
  1. POCKET www.getpocket.com
    Pocket is a GREAT App that I use to basically bookmark every cool website I visit. I can use tags to organise my content into topics that I like. I presently have a bout 30 different tags – I like ALOT of stuff! 🙂   Pocket is without a doubt my absolute ‘GO TO’ App when browsing the internet and I want to keep stuff for later.
  2. BUFFER  www.buffer.com
    Buffer is my another one of my ‘GO-TO’ Apps for sharing content on social media. You can add a combination of up to 5 Social Media Profiles on Buffer for FREE. With the full blown version of Buffer just $10/month. In fact if you want to get creative try the ol’ 1,2!  …Whats the ol’ 1,2 I here you say?
    Find an article and save it to Pocket (Number 1.) and then Share that content straight away into Buffer!!!  The Ol’ Social Media 1,2!!!
  3. MEETUP  www.meetup.com
    Another tool that I simply cant do without is Meetup.com. If your an ACTIVE networker than look no further than Meetup.com. The App allows you to join groups of like minded people who are interested in the same pursuits as you, such a photography, dancing, marketing, business, arts, culture – its ALL on Meetup.com . A fantastic resource for the busy entrepreneur.
  4. EVENTBRITE www.eventbrite.comEventbrite is great for Event Organizers and Networkers and Socialisers alike, there are plenty of Events happening in and around your local area. The main difference with Meetup is that Eventbrite is often for professional one offs events such and as the ability to accept payment and ticketing options.
  5. SOCIAL BRO www.socialbro.com
    Manage and Analyze your Twitter Handles. Free version allows for 1 Twitter Handle and a Ton of Good Metrics!
  6. HOOTSUITE www.hootsuite.com
    Hootsuite is one of the original Social Media Dashboards and is a great social listening tool. The free version aloows for up to 3 socail profiles with a Pro Version at around $10 a month.
  7. FACEBOOK GROUPS
  8. EVERNOTE www.evernote.com
  9. CANVA www.canva.com
    Canva is a great new tool for anyone who wants to create socail media post but doesn’t have the Graphic Design background skills.
    You can login via Facebook and create artwork and images for most social media profiles within minutes. Fantasic App!!
  10. PERISCOPE www.periscope.tv
    Periscope is the latest must have app for driving traffic to your brand or business. If you’re in the online marketing space than Periscope is HOT right now!
