From a Content Marketing point of view – Creativity Wins!
Let me explain…
I’m a creative person, yet for a while a struggled with the notion of becoming my own editor for my social media posts – instead of just randomly posting with no goal, I made the conscious decision to start becoming a content editor. Writing and developing engaging content for both my professional and creative career. And posting that content using a social media content calendar and planning tools.
Whilst there are systems and steps involved, ultimately its creativity that is needed to generate the content in the first place.
Dedicate some time to creating Content for your business marketing.
You see, in business we can get caught up with the idea of perfection, we cant seem to put out any content unless its perfect! However this is a very limiting way to approach your business marketing activities. Its important as a small business to get your message out there and sometimes you just got to be creative and start the process.
Put something out there, make it good enough but it does not have to be perfect!
As in last week’s post my 3 simple tips for creating content for your business are:
- Brainstorm all the potential things you can talk about in your business, products, common client questions, FAQ’s, How To’s, Behind the Scenes etc
- Start to document these into some form of centralized organisational content structure, with associated images
- Plan and Map Out a timetable or Content Calendar where you can then begin to post these onto your Social Media Channels. All linking back to your website or special offer.
